Hometown: Cleveland, Ohio

He’s a Collector: Ask about his collection of over 200 bobble heads and concert posters.

He’s Talking Sports: Jamey has climbed Mt. Rainier and mountains in New Zealand, walked the Appalachian Trail, enjoys a round of golf and is a self-proclaimed baseball enthusiast.

What you Might Not Know About Him: He’s proud of his extensive knowledge of baseball stats.

His Role at Weston: Tasked with positioning the company for the future, James focuses on the company’s overall revenue and profit performance and oversees Weston’s 8-state footprint of over 22 million feet of industrial space and 750+ tenants. He developed the company’s current strategic focus of 50/90/BLT (50 million square feet, 90 percent occupied and Best Landlord in Town).

A Cleveland native, James, his wife, Wendy and their two young children, live in Bainbridge, Ohio.

 

SUZANNE ASHER BROADBENT

Dealmaker

Hometown: Cleveland, Ohio

Passions: A lover of country music, Suzanne knows her way around the kitchen creating outstanding Lebanese delicacies.

Activity: She enjoys keeping fit by exercising, playing tennis and eating healthy. She is an avid reader of all genres, including fiction, non-fiction, and self-improvement. She also travels frequently to visit her out of state children.

What you Might not Know About Her: Suzanne holds dual citizenship with the U.S and Lebanon.

Her Role at Weston: Suzanne is responsible for both the national leasing and marketing of Weston’s portfolio. She manages leasing department personnel, handles new lease negotiations and renewals, markets properties, increases revenues and coordinates activities with brokers while developing relationships with customers, brokers, tenants, vendors and others.

A graduate of Ursuline College, Suzanne is a Cleveland native. She and her husband, Dan, have three children and live in Bainbridge, Ohio.

 

TJ ASHER

President, Weston Acquisitions/Development Group

Hometown: Cleveland, Ohio

Passions: TJ loves everything about the great outdoors from camping and fishing to snow skiing. A boat owner and avid water-skier, he enjoys spending time on the 360-acre family property in northeast Cleveland.

His Role at Weston: Today, as President of Weston Acquisitions/Development Group he is instrumental in identifying strategically located properties in target markets and port cities, securing financing and finalizing each project through to its closing and stabilization period.

Most recently he has acquired the company’s largest group of properties to date, a 5.5 million square feet industrial portfolio of manufacturing, warehouse, flex space and industrial properties in South Carolina known as Carolina Industrial Properties.

A Cleveland native, he and his wife and three children live in Aurora.

 

Ravi Bodepudi

Analyst

Hometown: Broadview Heights, OH

Background:  Ravi attended Cornell University and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics.

Passions: He is a fitness and nutrition enthusiast and likes to play pickup basketball in the summer.  He also enjoys traveling – his recent travel destinations include Peru, Morocco, and Spain.

His Role at Weston:  Ravi underwrites all new acquisition and development opportunities that are of interest to Weston.  In addition to his underwriting work, he supports the due diligence process, financing for new & existing projects, and coordinating with Weston’s institutional capital partners.

 

MICHELLE A. ENGLISH, MBA

Controller

Hometown: Cleveland, Ohio

Activities: Reading has been a lifelong passion. A self-proclaimed nerd, Michelle was an annual participant in the Cleveland Library’s Summer Reading Club. Some favorite authors are Stephen King, Margaret Atwood & Dennis Lehane. Michelle also enjoys watching baseball at any level of skill and is a diehard Guardians fan. She also serves the Westfield Township Board of Trustees as their Secretary.

What you may not know: Michelle holds a Bachelor of Arts in Gerontology from Kent State University.

Her Role: Michelle is responsible for the direction and oversight of the accounting and information technology departments.  Under her leadership, those teams create efficiencies, implement improvements, and assist in the achievement of corporate strategic goals.  As a part of the leadership team, Michelle collaborates to set the corporate strategic goals and reports on all fiscal results of the organization.

Michelle and her husband, Frank, have 2 sons and live in Westfield Township.

 

JON FITZWATER

Director of Project Management

Hometown: Rising Sun, MD

Activities: Outside of work, Jon enjoys hiking and exploring the many national parks in Northeast Ohio with his wife, Amanda, and their dog, Abby.

Passions: Jon jumps at the chance to travel whenever he can. He has visited 46 of the 50 states, and visited multiple countries outside of the US as well.

His Role at Weston: Jon’s role at Weston includes managing both capital and tenant improvements, coordinating General Contractors, troubleshooting building issues, and ensuring all work is completed safely, on-time, and on-budget.

Jon and his wife, Amanda, live in Ohio City.

 

JACK GREEN

Transactions Associate

Hometown: Medina, Ohio

Passion:  Jack loves traveling to different countries, especially any island. He has been to 7 different countries including Spain, Costa Rica, Curacao, Saint Maarten, Belize, Honduras, and Mexico.

Jack enjoys playing golf and basketball.  These two sports have continued to give him the ability to keep a competitive drive even when he was finished with organized sports. To add to that, he’s also a very avid sports fan and loves the Cavs, Indians, and the Pittsburgh Steelers. On the weekends Jack will likely be visiting a variety of different spots in and around the Cleveland area, especially Ohio City.

Jack’s role at Weston includes the marketing, showing and leasing of Weston’s expanding portfolio. This is accomplished by developing strong relationships with Weston’s existing tenants, economic development directors and other community leaders, and the brokerage community.

Jack is a recent graduate of Bowling Green State University and lives in Ohio City.

 

Tracy Green

Project Executive, Forward Innovation Center

Hometown: Medina, OH

Activities:  Tracy loves hike the local and national parks, kayak on Lake Medina, and do various outdoor projects at his home.

Passions:  Oenology and viniculture – the study of wine, historical fiction novels, and traveling throughout the world.

His Role at Weston: Tracy’s role at Weston includes leading a new and growing Asset Management department, managing the development of the Forward Innovation Center, and making deals.

Tracy and his wife, Andi, live in Medina and have 5 children ages 24-30 spread throughout the state and country.

 

Joanna Habat

Human Resource Manager

Hometown: Euclid, OH

Passion:  An avid camper, Joanna loves to escape the city to disconnect and rebalance in nature.  She enjoys learning about astrology and teaching her young son, Gabriel, about the night sky.  Favorite hobbies include cooking/baking from scratch, late-night card/board games, puzzles, and reading.

What you might not know about her:  Joanna comes from a musically inclined family and grew up behind the stage.  Still involved with the Cleveland music scene, she now photographs local bands, festivals, and concerts whenever she is able.

Joanna attended culinary school in Philadelphia before heading back to Cleveland to obtain her BBA in Management & Labor Relations and Human Resource Management from Cleveland State’s Monte Ahuja College of Business.

 

JEFF KENNEDY

Director of Transactions

Hometown: Mantua, Ohio

Passion: With strong ties to the community, Jeff is an ardent member of the Kiwanis Club of Independence. He assists the volunteer organization in their diverse calendar of events and fundraisers specifically designed to improve the lives and opportunities of children and their families.

What you might not know about him: Jeff is a certified PADI Open Water Diver, and enjoys scuba diving with his wife throughout the Caribbean Sea.

His Role at Weston: Jeff’s role at Weston includes overseeing the Transactions Department which is tasked with the marketing, showing, and leasing of Weston’s expanding portfolio. He accomplishes this by developing strong relationships with Weston’s existing tenants, economic development directors, other community leaders, and the brokerage community.

Jeff, his wife, and two children, live in Independence.

 

DANIEL LAUSIN

CAD Operator

Hometown: Cleveland, Ohio

Passion:  As a former domestic pro-level competitive cyclist who still competes, you will most likely find Daniel on his road bike or motorcycle when he’s not working.  An outdoor enthusiast, Daniel also enjoys cooking, expanding his music collection, and spending time with family and friends.

What you Might not Know About Him: He placed second in his first ultra-endurance race, the Mississippi Delta Epic (300 miles of gravel), has an appreciation for fountain pens, and can prepare coffee six different ways.

Daniel’s role at Weston involves building data management, aiding construction management, and working with tenants to develop their businesses’ future homes.

Daniel and his wife, Linda, live in Cleveland Heights.

 

APRIL LENZO

Risk Manager

Hometown: Columbus, OH

Passions: April is an avid gardener and loves to travel, seeking out unusual accommodations. Rustic cabins in the mountains of West Virginia, a castle in Scotland, and a private home in Rome are a few of her favorites.

What you Might Not Know about Her: Before pursuing self-taught studies in accounting and business software administration, April received her Bachelor’s Degree from Ursuline College with summa cum laude honors.

Her Role at Weston:  April manages the risk policies and processes for our organization.  Through risk analysis she is responsible for recommending and applying precautionary measures as well as developing strategies to minimize costs and protect our assets.  She also oversees the financial, safety and security risks of our organization through the implementation of risk management programs.  In addition, April manages our Customer Service Department which includes the Weston’s safety program where she develops strategies to improve safety work rules, policies, and procedures.

April, her husband Brian, and two children, live in Moreland Hills.

 

Eileen McConville

Asset Manager

Hometown: Concord, OH

Activities: Eileen has a passion for real estate and has been actively involved in Urban Land Institute’s Cleveland chapter for the past eight years. She is also a Board Member with the Benjamin Rose Institute on Aging and its subsidiary board, ESOP.

Passions: Eileen enjoys exploring all that Cleveland has to offer and can be found at the Metroparks, Playhouse Square, or a Guardians game on many weekends.

Her Role at Weston: Eileen brings over 10 years of experience in commercial real estate and is primarily responsible for managing the Southeast Industrial Portfolio, a 37-property portfolio comprised of 5.5 million square feet and acquired by Weston in February 2020.

Eileen is a graduate of Kent State University and currently lives in University Heights.

 

ROB NAMY

Chief Operating Officer

Hometown: Cleveland Heights, Ohio

Activities: As a baseball enthusiast he played the game for years and now coaches. He has competed in many triathlons and today stays in shape by boxing (he is the Secretary of the USA Boxing Association) and is a CrossFit junkie.

Passion: A world traveler, he’s visited Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador, Jamaica, Mexico, Greece, Turkey, England, and various countries in Africa.

What you Might not Know About Him: Watch for him riding down the highways and byways on his Harley or cruising the blue waters of Lake Erie on his boat.

His Role at Weston: As Chief Operating Officer, Rob is responsible for driving the company to achieve the most efficient and optimal net operating results on the entire Weston portfolio. Specific functions include collaborating with the management team to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel designed to accommodate the rapid growth objectives of Weston. Rob’s ability to motivate and lead a high performance team, attract, recruit and retain required members of an executive team are the cornerstone of fostering a success-oriented and accountable environment within the company.

Rob, his wife Julie, and three children, live in Shaker Heights.

 

KATHY PRESTON

Regional Asset Manager, Louisville

Hometown: Louisville

She Loves Animals: In addition to having a houseful of pets, Kathy is involved with animal rescue, finding good homes for thousands.

What you Might not Know About Her: She’s a grandmother and admits to be a “good one”, at that! Part of her calling? Cooking family breakfast every Sunday.

Her Role at Weston: Kathy manages and leases Weston’s two million square foot industrial flex portfolio in Louisville, Kentucky.  She is also the Project Manager for any tenant build-outs.

She is married with one daughter and two grandchildren. She and her husband, Billy, make their home in Louisville.

 

Jeff Sabo

Asset Manager

Hometown: Cleveland, OH

Activities:  Jeff loves everything about the great outdoors from hiking to trail running. Most weekends you can find Jeff at one of the local Metroparks or Cuyahoga Valley National Park, exploring all that NE Ohio has to offer.

Passions:  Outside of real estate, Jeff enjoys playing golf and collecting vintage vinyl records. Currently, his record collection has grown to over 500 records, specializing in rock ‘n’ roll, blues, jazz, folk, and alternative rock.

His Role at Weston:  As an Asset Manager, Jeff is responsible for managing the Weston industrial assets across the Midwest, including Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky. Jeff brings close to 10 years of real estate experience and knowledge that covers a wide range of commercial real estate across the United States.

Jeff is a graduate of Cleveland State University and holds a Real Estate License in the State of Ohio.

Jeff, his wife Kelly, and their daughter, live in Willoughby.

 

CATHY SCHULZ

Director of Property Management

Hometown: Jackson, MS

Passion: She is an avid reader and loves all types of music.  She is also a sports enthusiast and a proud fan of the SEC.

Activities: Cathy runs and plays tennis competitively.

What you Might not Know About Her: Cathy loves both international and national travel.  Whether a quick weekend, vacation with the family or a girls trip, she enjoys new adventures and almost always has a future getaway on her calendar.

Her Role at Weston: As Director of Property Management, Cathy takes full responsibility for the management of the Weston Portfolio both in Cleveland and around the country. She also works with a number of third party out of town management companies. With her 20 years of property management capacity, Cathy oversees expenses, budgets, improvements and maintenance of Weston’s broad portfolio of properties. Her hard work, dedication, integrity and loyalty are a great asset to Weston.

Cathy, her husband Dave, and two children, live in Westlake.

 

ALLEN SHEMA

Director of Transitions and Due Diligence

Hometown: Avon Lake, Ohio

Passions: Avid bowler, dog lover, and sports enthusiast. He also enjoys listening to a wide range of music from classical to heavy metal and loves to travel.

What you Might not Know About Him: Allen has been bowling since he was five. He boasts several 300-games as well as a few 800 series. He’s also bowled two 299’s in the same evening.

His Role at Weston: As Director of Transitions and Due Diligence, Allen is responsible for the pre-purchase review of Weston’s acquisitions and dispositions, as well as the transitioning of newly acquired or constructed buildings and properties to the Operations and Asset Management teams. He is also an integral part of the team in the large Ford Acquisition which benefits from his 40+ years of experience. His broad range of knowledge and expertise enriches the overall operations of Weston.

Allen, and his wife of 30 years, Stacy, have two sons and live in Avon Lake.

 

Steve Spithas

Property Manager

Hometown: Medina, OH

Background:  Steve obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Akron. He also holds a Master’s degree in Urban Planning Development & Design from Cleveland State University.

Hobbies/Interests: In his spare time, Steve enjoys golfing and watching Cleveland Sports with friends. He has also taken a recent interest in gardening, growing an assortment of vegetables at his local community garden. An avid horse racing fan, Steve has attended the Kentucky Derby six times and the Breeders Cup twice. He also enjoys spending time with his wife and children at the Metroparks and the shores of Lake Erie.

His Role at Weston: As manager of approximately 1.9 million square feet of industrial property on Cleveland’s westside, Steve handles all day-to-day operations and tenant relations.  In addition, he manages budgets and expenses and oversees maintenance and property repairs.

Steve holds a Real Estate License and is a Notary in the State of Ohio.

Steve, his wife Rena, and their two children, live in Westlake.

 

MARK TRUESDELL

Sr. Transactions Associate

Hometown: West Chester, Ohio

Passions: Mark enjoys spending his free time staying active and exploring Northeast Ohio. He is an avid golfer and on the weekends you can usually find him enjoying the outdoors and playing a round at one of NEO’s great courses. When he isn’t golfing, he is staying active by working out and taking advantage of the views while running through downtown and the surrounding neighborhoods. Mark is an avid sports fan with football being his first love. His bucket list sporting event would be to see his hometown Bengals in the Super Bowl. His best times are spent with his wife Jenna enjoying the local food scene on their date nights out.

What you Might not Know About Him: Mark has a 2016 Cavs Championship Ring and was in the Championship Parade

KURT UPDEGRAFF, PE, PS, RPA

Director of Development

Hometown: New Castle, Pennsylvania

Passions: Kurt’s passions are listening to just about any kind of music and playing the slide trombone at every opportunity that presents itself. Kurt’s current standing gig is with the Sophisticated Swing Big Band. He also enjoys reading about local history and visiting historic sites wherever he travels.

His Role at Weston:  Kurt’s responsibility is to manage the Development Department which handles all real estate development activities for new projects and substantial expansions at existing properties. These activities include land acquisition, due diligence, entitlements, scheduling, budgeting, design and construction. Kurt works closely with the Transactions, Finance, Property Management and Legal Departments to create projects that fit with Weston’s goal of providing homes for businesses by finding solutions that create value.

Kurt is a registered engineer and registered surveyor in Pennsylvania and Ohio, and also is a Real Property Administrator through the Building Owners and Managers Institute.

He has one adult daughter who lives in Istanbul, while Kurt calls historic Burton, OH, his home.

 

TIM WILBER

Accounting Manager

Hometown: Fairview Park, Ohio

Passions: He is an enthusiastic Cleveland Sports fan and enjoys going to games for all the local teams.

What you Might not Know About Him: Tim grew up spending most of his summers racing sailboats and has competed in races all over the Great Lakes.

His Role at Weston: As the Accounting Manager, it is his job to ensure the Accounting Department is responsive to both internal and external customers and that all business transactions at Weston are recorded timely and accurate.

Tim is a graduate of the University of Dayton.  He and his wife, Laura, live in Lakewood.
