Case Study | Amazon Distribution Center
Development of industrial warehouse brings jobs to the west side
Weston Inc. acquired 21.6 Acres of land at 10801 Madison Avenue in April 2019 with the original plan to construct Madison Industrial Park with 3 brand-new buildings on the site.
The land had remained vacant for many years before Weston acquired it with the vision of enhancing the area through the addition of these new buildings and job opportunities.
Weston’s Development Team, in collaboration with Independence Construction and DeGeronimo Companies, successfully designed and constructed a state-of-the-art warehouse spanning 168,500 SF.
Upon completion of the warehouse, Amazon leased the building and then decided to purchase the facility along with the surrounding land. This development has created approximately 400 jobs, offering wages between $15 and $18 per hour, significantly benefiting the West Side of Cleveland. The facility operates as a Last-Mile Distribution Center, which means it will primarily serve as a hub for Amazon vans delivering packages directly to residences in the nearby community.
