Forward Innovation Center East – 4 Shovel Ready Sites Ready for Development
Forward Innovation Center, located in Walton Hills, OH, is a 111 acre property that is currently being redeveloped into a modern business hub. Formerly the Ford Stamping Plant, it was once the largest employer in Walton Hills, ceasing operation in 2014. Weston, in partnership with DiGeronimo Companies and Scannell Properties, aim to revitalize the site to provide flexible industrial spaces suitable for manufacturing, logistics, e-commerce, and research & development.
The campus offers 1 million SF of industrial redevelopment space including a recently completed 247,000 SF spec building. There are currently 55 acres remaining with additional build to suit options ranging from 119,828 SF to 462,000 SF, including the potential for a single 800,000 SF facility.
The redevelopment project is expected to create jobs and stimulate economic growth in Northeast Ohio, attracting businesses seeking modern industrial facilities with excellent logistics capabilities. We are pleased that two high profile firms have agreed with that vision – Cardinal Health has moved into the complex and Great Day Logistics will be moving in later this year. With more businesses in the area, support services will enjoy a boost in sales and assist with the local economy.
Flexible design, customizable office spaces, and industrial outdoor storage options are features that prospective tenants may find enticing. Other factors include economic incentive programs, rail access, heavy power, and highway connectivity.
